    This well researched clan patriarch has over 140 descendants identified in our Barton Database.  Yet, we don't know to which BARTON DNA Project he belongs.  More male BARTON participation for ySTR DNA is needed!

    Finally completed a multi-year project to examine every enumeration of a BARTON is each of the 38 states in the Union in 1880.  All 15,000+ of them!  Where I was able to confidently construct a Family Pedigree I have posted them to www.bartondatabase.com   HTH.  Any corrections, etc., just click on the person's Suggest tab!

    According to Dick Eastman the Library of Congress is adding these wonderful maps to their website with all states to be completed by the year 2020.  http://blog.eogn.com/2017/05/29/sanborn-fire-insurance-maps-now-online/

    This is huge news.  I recommend every researcher find their ancestor's non-rural locations!

    We have such a great adventure searching out our Barton ancestors and Barton connections.The new member website - BHGS.wildapricot,org is going to be a great asset to us in this undertaking.  Looking forward to hearing from Bartons from all over the world!  Much more to come!
